BasQ offers academic programs, enablement modules and internship opportunities and is developing initiatives to reimagine the teaching of quantum science at all levels, with the aim of inspiring and educating the quantum workforce of the future.
Here are some key aspects of what BasQ is doing in the field of quantum education:
BIM-Q
Basque International Masters (BIM) is an initiative by the Department of Universities, Science, and Innovation of the Basque Government, aimed at promoting the internationalization of the Basque University and Science System. The program focuses on training, as well as attracting and retaining talent.
BIM is designed as a comprehensive postgraduate education and lifelong learning program, which includes courses, master’s degrees, seminars, internships, and mobility opportunities. It is developed in collaboration with Higher Education Institutions in the Basque Country, Research Centers, industry and business partners from the region, and international collaborators.
DIGI-Q
BasQ is actively involved in the DigiQ consortium, a European initiative aimed at transforming the quantum technology education ecosystem. As a Core Affiliated Partner, BasQ contributes to the development of a new European educational model by introducing innovative teaching methods and establishing a multi-country framework for postgraduate training programs in Quantum Technologies. The consortium, which includes over 20 organizations from 10 European countries, focuses on creating advanced courses, improving existing ones, fostering collaboration between students, researchers, and industry partners, and facilitating student mobility and internships.
