"Beyond VQE" workshop

BasQ is organizing a workshop titled “Beyond VQE”, a technical session designed for professionals in the field of Quantum Computing. 

The event will take place on Tuesday, January 28th, from 10:00 to 12:00, at the main auditorium of the CFM-MPC (Paseo Manuel de Lardizabal, 5, Donostia-San Sebastián).

This specialized session will focus on cutting-edge developments in quantum chemistry, materials science, and condensed matter physics. The program includes:
    •    A 1-hour keynote talk on:
    •    Quantum Algorithms in the Age of Utility: Insights into IBM working groups and quantum-centric supercomputing.
    •    Hybrid Quantum/Classical Algorithms: Motivation and limitations of the Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE).
    •    Quantum-Centric Supercomputing (QCSC): Overview of Sample-based Quantum Diagonalization (SQD) and Krylov Quantum Diagonalization (KQD).
    •    A hands-on segment on using Qiskit add-ons for practical implementation of SQD.
    •    An open discussion to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
 

This workshop offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of quantum computing techniques, connect with experts tackling similar challenges, and engage in meaningful discussions about state preparation and ground state energy search.
