BasQ Leaders Share their Quantum Innovation Experience at IBM TechXchange Summit EMEA
February 02, 2024The recently concluded IBM TechXchange Summit EMEA witnessed a convergence of industry experts, thought leaders, and technology enthusiasts.
Held from January 25 to 28 at the Barcelona International Convention Centre (BICC), the summit provided a platform for knowledge exchange, hands-on learning, and networking.
One of the spotlights during the summit was firmly on quantum computing—a field poised to revolutionize industries worldwide. In this context, Javier Aizpurua, Director of Basque Quantum, and Nerea Martiartu, Director of Lantik, played pivotal roles on explaining how Basque institutions are fostering different initiatives (with Basque Quantum being the one that brings them all together) oriented towards the promotion and advancement of a robust ecosystem around Quantum Technologies in the Basque Country.
In this sense, and as part of the BasQ initiative, both Aizpurua and Martiartu shared their insights on the potential of Quantum Technologies. Their joint participation underscored the collaborative efforts within the Basque community to drive quantum innovation. As Javier Aizpurua mentioned “Quantum computing is not just a theoretical concept; it’s a tangible force that will reshape how businesses operate. At Basque Quantum, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of quantum research and application and get ready for this transformation.
